
About Me
Danny Carroll, PhD, MSW, is a social work scholar whose primary research interests include white supremacy, anti-racist social work practice, race-based trauma and traumatic stress, and the role of social work in preventing and responding to far-right extremism. Prior to earning his doctorate, Danny served as Executive Director for several nonprofit organizations and founded an international NGO dedicated to the economic empowerment of women in Burundi. He has held leadership roles on numerous nonprofit boards and currently serves as Board President of an organization focused on preventing violent extremism and supporting individuals seeking to disengage from hate-based movements. Danny holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University and both an MSW and PhD in Social Work from Indiana University.
