Teaching
My teaching philosophy is rooted in constructivist, anti-oppressive, liberatory, and decolonial approaches that honor the lived experiences, cultural knowledge, and strengths of diverse learners. As a social worker and educator, I view the classroom as a transformative space where students co-construct knowledge through critical dialogue, reflection, and engagement with real-world issues. I challenge dominant narratives and disrupt systems of oppression by centering marginalized voices and integrating global and Indigenous ways of knowing. I strive to cultivate an inclusive and courageous learning environment that fosters self-awareness, collective responsibility, and social action, equipping students to become ethically grounded, justice-oriented practitioners committed to equity and liberation in their communities and the profession.
